Button jointed Economic
Consulting Services, LLC (“ECS”) in 1981. Dr. Button is an expert in
international trade matters and testifies frequently before the U.S.
International Trade Commission and U.S. Commerce Department. He also
specializes in preparing business valuation studies for corporate
restructuring, gift/estate tax, and other purposes, as well as lost
profits and damages analyses in commercial litigation. He has
presented trial or deposition testimony before the U.S. Tax Court, U.S.
District Courts, the Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission,
Administrative Law Judges of the U.S. International Trade Commission,
and the Indiana State Board of Tax Review. He has special expertise in
litigation with an international dimension. Prior to joining ECS, he
held positions in the U.S. Treasury Department and U.S. Commerce
Department.
International Trade
Dr. Button assists both petitioner and
respondent clients in antidumping, countervailing duty, and other trade
matters. He testifies frequently before the U.S. International Trade
Commission, U.S. Commerce Department, and the GSP Subcommittee of the
Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. His international trade
engagements have involved countries from all regions of the world and a
very wide array of industrial and agricultural sectors. His analysis
typically focuses on issues of import pricing and its effects on the
domestic market and industry. Dr. Button is a past member of the
Treasury Department Advisory Committee on the Commercial Operations of
the U.S. Customs Service.

is an Accredited Member of the American Society of Appraisers and has provided valuations in
